The Large Print Collection

The Large Print collection consists of popular fiction and non-fiction titles. These books may be borrowed with a valid library card at any branch of The New York Public Library (NYPL) which has branches in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island. They may be borrowed for three weeks and may be renewed for another three weeks if there are no reserves on them.

Large print books may be returned to any NYPL branch. Reserves may be placed on any large print title by using NYPL's catalog online at any branch, from home, or anywhere else with a Web connection.

Patrons may be registered for both National Library Service cassettes and NYPL service for large print.

Homebound patrons in Manhattan, the Bronx, or Staten Island who would like large print books may register for NYPL's Books By Mail program. Call (212) 621-0564 to request an application. Residents of Queens may get books mailed through Queens Borough Public Library's Mail-A-Book Service. For more information, call (718) 776-6800. Residents of Booklyn who want Books by Mail should call (718) 376-6185.
