Updated Descriptive Video List

We've updated the list of our Descriptive Videos on our website. These are commercial movies and documentaries in VHS format that have narration added that describes the onscreen action. They can be played on regular VHS players. To borrow the videos on this list, patrons must be registered for braille and / or talking book service. Within the next couple of months, we will have the updated list available in large print, braille, and cassette formats.

Family Art Museum Workshop

The library has scheduled a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. for blind and partially sighted children, ages 5-12. The visit will provide an opportunity for children and their families to get in touch with the artistry of collage and tapestry through tactile and verbal imaging.
