"Max Liebermann: From Realism to Impressionism"
The Jewish Museum hosts a Verbal Imaging tour of the exhibition currently on display. Prior to the visit, informational materials will be available at the library. You may request these materials when you call the library to register for the tour.

Saturday, April 29 at 2:00 pm:
Musical Program
This multi-sensory experience is designed to encourage participants to interact with musicians and each other, as well as play , touch and handle instruments. This event is designed for people with disabilities to strengthen their cognitive, communication and social skills.
Registration is required.

Book Discussion Group Reminder

Do you enjoy reading good books? Do you wish you had someone to discuss them with? If so, why not join the Andrew Heiskell Library's Adult Book Discussion Group? The group meets once a month on Saturday mornings at 11:00 a.m., in the library's first floor meeting room.

To participate, please call the library at (212) 206-5400, or email us at ahlbph@nypl.org to register. Registration is required. Please let us know which format of the book you'd like.

Meetings are held on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. Most of the titles are available in standard print. Some are also available in large print.

  • On May 20, Mi PaĆ­s Inventado by Isabel Allende, RC 54978, will be discussed in Spanish.

  • On June 17, The Dive from Clausen's Pier by Ann Packer, RC 54324, will be discussed in English.
